Wide cylindrical vase with combed body, a low foot, black and white striped neck, and matte black glaze. From the Farsta line, introduced by Kåge in 1931. Named after the city of Farsta near Gustavsberg, the namesake line was notable for its modern forms and matte glazes in a variety of colors. This one of a kind vase is an unequalled example of the mid-century modern style pioneered by Kåge and later Stig Lindberg at Gustavsberg.
