In true Massier fashion, the iridescence and brilliance of this cachepot are readily apparent upon first glance. The impeccable use of color and lush luster radiate from the pot; the etchings and paintings on the sides form floral patterns, along with other organic forms. The attention to detail is highly evident, especially in the intricacies of some of the flower arrangements and the use of shadowing throughout the entire piece. From the center of the flowers forms the top portion of handles that protrude from the sides and connect near the bottom of the cachepot, giving the paintings a sculptural quality.
