Press Release

Jason Jacques Gallery is pleased to participate in the twentieth edition of the Boston International Fine Art Show, New England's premier show and sale of historic, modern and contemporary fine art.

Jason Jacques Gallery will present a number of its finest Art Nouveau pieces, which include a large selection of Amphora vases with biomorphic motifs as well as colorful pieces of oriental inspiration by Italian ceramist Galileo Chini. Other important ceramic works by Ernest Bussière, Max Laeuger, Jules Cayette, James Vibert, Otto Eckmann, and the Atelier de Glatigny will also be on display.

The artworks on view at our booth represent a revitalization of traditional Art Nouveau motifs. A number of the exhibition’s ceramic works take inspiration from the natural world, featuring painted or sculpted animals, vines, orchids, pomegranates, and irises, amongst other organic forms. These motifs are often juxtaposed with depictions of women or are overlaid with intricate metalwork.

The Boston International Art Fair will take place from October 20 to October 23, 2016, with a 20th Anniversary Gala Preview on October 19.

The fair will be held at the Cyclorama, Boston Center for the Arts, 539 Tremont Street, Boston, MA 02116. You will find Jason Jacques Gallery at Booths 18, 25 and 26.
