Das Werk Gustav Klimts: Special Event

In 2006, the Jason Jacques Gallery wrote the first catalogue of the historically important set of Gustav Klimt collotypes: Das Werk Gustav Klimts. Scholar Claire Cass lectured with the gallery in 4 cities across the US finishing the tour at the National Arts Club in New York City to inaugurate the exhibition at the gallery. Where we presented the entirety of period collotypes published of Klimt and Schiele drawings and paintings. Since that time the sets have become internationally recognized for their importance in books and publicly at auction. What were originally dismissed by experts at major auction houses were suddenly in demand, thanks to the original research presented in "Rediscovering Portfolio Prints by Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele".

We have the pleasure to present a newly discovered complete set of Das Werk Gustav Klimts at the gallery on February 1st. This is a chance to own a collotype for yourself. We will not offer the prints for sale in advance but are making a list of those interested in owning one of the prints. The collotype inventory will go online the evening of January 31st and people will have the chance to purchase on a first come first serve basis starting the afternoon of the 1st. Email the gallery to be on the list and we will send you the link to the show on the 31st. Please join us for a cocktail if you are in the neighborhood the evening of the 1st at 6pm.
