This earthenware piece is part of a set of two baluster vases produced at the end of the 19th century by the Amphora studio. The manufacture established a reputation creating ceramics with similar visual motifs, incorporating elegant floral and Art Nouveau patterns. This piece is particularly impressive. Bright coral stems descending from the vase's mouth are depicted in bas-relief, and contrast with a deep, green-blue background with iridescent luster.
