This large and impressive vase distinguishes itself from smaller vases produced by Perrot at that point in his career. "Slender Vase" remains an exceptional example of Perrot's technical mastery of the glazing and firing processes. The dripping, blue-gray glaze cover the upper part of the object, gives the vase a painterly quality. This piece illustrates the influence of Emile Grittel and other contemporary painters working for Georges Hoesntschel who also produced large baluster vases similar to this one.
