This visually arresting sculpture of a girl with golden birds emerging from her eyes, like liquid gold pouring upwards and away, gives life and vision to the ceramic. Perhaps the figure's gaze and lines of sight, having taken on the physicality of a goldfinch, are conceptualized as a material object of comtemplation— or perhaps the viewer is simply given a glimpse of what the figure is seeing, imagining, dreaming of.
